JASAN has several committees and task forces. The chair of each committee is a member of the JASAN Executive Committee. The purpose statement for each committee for the current fiscal year is based on the priorities set forth by the Executive Committee, approved by the membership, and detailed in the annual Program of Work. JASAN Members are welcome to serve on a committee! Simply complete this committee interest form and we will follow up.
To collaborate with IUPUI archivists and JAUSA in acquiring JA USA archival materials, including additional oral histories.
Digital Communications Committee
To provide members the information they need to connect with others.
To provide members with meaningful opportunities to connect and engage with former JA colleagues.
To ensure the financial accountability that is essential to maintaining a financially self-sufficient organization.
Fund Development Committee
To ensure sufficient funding to carry out the work and mission of the JA Staff Alumni Network organization.
To keep the history of JA alive and easily available.
To use social media and other tools to identify, connect, and recruit people at all levels leaving JA to become JASAN members.
To provide a stream of highly qualified and passionate individuals who can assume current and future leadership in the JA Staff Alumni Network organization.
Staff Development & Recognition Committee
To advance the JA USA mission by supporting the Flemke and Sweeny awards and providing scholarships to area staff for professional development.
